Division Supremacy

Last season saw the East Division produce 3 playoffs participants. This begs the question, is the East better than the West? To answer such a question some stats need to unearthed.

During the 2013 regular season the East was better, supporting a 17-13 record against the West. Combine that with the 2012 numbers and the overall stats stand at 31-26-3 over two years.

The league has seen two different champions. Each from a separate division.

East managers are 11-8-1 against their west rivals.

Overall the numbers are quite even. While the East is slightly above the West in most statistics, the variance would be deemed not statistically significant, meaning neither division "holds sway over the 5 points" (Gangs of New York).

These stats are cyclical. Expect this season to once again be a blood bath between divisions and rivals.
